We kicked off 2016 here at MHS by hosting the Calvary Chapel Missions Conference. Hundreds of missionaries from around the world came together this past week to be refreshed and encouraged, and we had the privilege of serving them!
Pastors Brian Broderson, Phil Metzger, Nick Long, Chet Lowe, Joey Rozek, and more came out to speak on various topics ranging from influence in obedience to lessons learned in the story of Jonah. Mike Harris, Thine Arrows of Calvary Chapel Wildwood, Calvary Creative, and Danae Downs were among some of the worship leaders for the week.

On The Edge, a youth ministry of Calvary Costa Mesa, put on a youth program for the teenagers of missionary families that attended the conference. Through group games, teachings, worship, and devotions, the students were able to be ministered to on their level, and formed bonds with friends from across the globe. There were also two programs for children, ages 3-11, available throughout the conference.

We had three resource rooms packed full with endless ministries and organizations geared towards missions, whether local or oversees. Workshops were offered for further equipping missionaries in the areas of family, ministry, and cultural outreach.
Missions Week is one of our favorite ways to start off the year. We look forward to serving more missionaries next January!
